Elios - Pronnoi

This is one of the “entrances” of the island, as Poros, one of the biggest ports of the island is here. In the area, apart from a great number of hotels and apartments to rent, you will also find many interests. Skala with it’s famous beach and nightlife, the Roman villa mosaics and the temple dedicated to ancient god Apollo, Poros where you can swim, have lunch or coffee but also visit archaeological sites like the graves at Tzanata village. A visit to Atros Monastery will give you the chance to enjoy the panoramic view of the area and the neighboring Zante. And if you happen to be in the area on the 15th of August, then you should definitely visit Markopoulo village to see the holy snakes that appear every year and the neighboring Pastra to see the strange phenomenon of the Madonna Lily at Gravaliotissa Church.
